LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC)- Metro has released its full rider guide for those who plan to brave D.C. streets and rails on Inauguration Day, Jan. 21, and the preceding Inauguration Weekend.
Copies will be placed in Metro stations for the taking, but it can also be found online here.
Metro advises that stations closest to the Capitol may not be the best ones to use given the anticipated crowds. The guide offers walking directions to the National Mall from stations up to two miles away. It also lists Inauguration Day service changes and closures, and suggests riders sign up for email or text Inauguration alerts at wmata.com/inauguration. Updates on Metro service can also be found on WMATA’s special Inauguration Twitter account, @MetroInaug.
