WASHINGTON — District of Columbia police say they believe a man found dead in a ravine could be the same person who was reported missing last month.
Police on Sunday found an unresponsive and unconscious man in the ravine between East Beach Drive and West Beach Drive in northwest Washington.
Emergency crews found no signs of life and he was pronounced dead.
Though detectives are currently working to identify the man, police believe it may be 88-year-old John Matthews, who was last seen leaving his home December 10 in the 1400 block of Oglethorpe Street NW.
