WASHINGTON (CBSDC) – Math and the American people have spoken: Congress is the worst – mostly.

A poll taken by the Public Polling Policy Group found that cockroaches, root canals and Canadian rock band Nickelback are more popular than Congress.

The poll asked the question “What do you have a higher opinion of: Congress or” and then different topics such as cockroaches, head lice, and France.

All three were rated higher than Congress by a sizable amount. Traffic jams, colonoscopies and Genghis Khan also were more popular.

However, Congress has a more favorable rating than North Korea, communism, and Kim Kardashian.

Twenty percent of those polled, though, are not sure if communism is better or worse than Congress.

The Public Polling Policy Group interviewed 830 Americans between Jan. 3-6.
