GLEN BURNIE, Md.— Anne Arundel County authorities say a 40-year-old woman has died after a fire in a Glen Burnie home.
Firefighters were called to the house in the Marley area Friday night after neighbors reported the fire. Anne Arundel County fire department division chief Keith Swindle says the woman was found in the basement of the house. She died of her injuries early Saturday at a hospital.
Officials say nine adults and two children have been displaced by the fire. The home had been divided into multiple units.
It took nearly 50 firefighters about 30 minutes to bring the fire under control. This is the second fatal fire in the county this year.
