BRISTOW, Va. (CBSDC/AP) — A Prince William County police officer who died after his motorcycle struck a minivan in Bristow earlier this week has been laid to rest.

Funeral services for 35-year-old Officer Chris Yung were held Friday at the Hylton Memorial Chapel in Woodbridge.

The crash that killed Yung happened Monday as he was on his way to the scene of another accident. Yung was heading south on Nokesville Road when his motorcycle struck the minivan. Yung was taken to a hospital, where he died. No one else was injured.

Yung was a 7-year veteran of the department and worked for the traffic unit.

The crash remains under investigation.
