ALEXANDRIA, Va.— It’s the last weekend to see the turkeys President Barack Obama pardoned before Thanksgiving.
The turkeys, named Cobbler and Gobbler, have been living at George Washington’s Mount Vernon estate in Virginia since Obama pardoned them in November. Sunday is the last day to see the turkeys on exhibit, however.
After that, they’ll be retiring to Mount Vernon’s behind-the-scenes farm facility.
This is the third year that pardoned turkeys have gone to live at Mount Vernon. The turkeys previously went to Disneyland.
