WOODBRIDGE, Va. (CBSDC) - Police in Prince William County have released funeral details for one of their fallen brethren, Officer Chris Yung, who was killed in the line of duty Monday.
Yung, 35, was killed when his motorcycle crashed into a minivan in Bristow at 2:04 p.m.
Police say the seven-year veteran officer was responding to a call for a separate accident in the area when a Dodge Caravan made an abrupt left-hand turn into a shopping center in front of him and collided with Yung’s motorcycle.
He was rushed to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
No other injuries were reported.
A viewing will be held for Yung – a father of three – in Woodbridge Thursday evening for county government employees, followed by his funeral service Friday morning, also in Woodbridge.
