OXON HILL, Va. (CBSDC) - A church is now in ruins after a two-alarm fire in Prince George’s County Tuesday.
Firefighters responded to a fire at First Wesleyan Church in the 1800 block of Iverson Street in Oxon Hill just before 8 a.m.
An official says there was heavy fire on the interior and the exterior of the roof of the one-story church when they arrived, causing them to signal a second alarm.
It took firefighters approximately 25 minutes to extinguish the fire that caused nearly $100,000 in damages.
No one was injured.
