RICHMOND, Va. — The Travel Channel is coming to Virginia to film part of a Christmas special on tacky light displays.

Officials say Winn Transportation is hosting crews from the TV channel on Friday night. The Richmond-owned company started doing the “Tacky Lights Tour” in 1985.

The Richmond segment of the program will profile select area homeowners who put on the amazing light shows each year. The special also will feature children and families enjoying the magic of the area’s holiday lights.
