WASHINGTON (CBSDC) - D.C. police have identified the body of a man who was shot and killed in Northeast Thursday evening.
Police responded to a burglary in progress in the 4400 block of 6th Place NE around 8:12 pm.
When they arrived, they found 24-year-old Jermile Damon Davis, of Southeast, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
He was taken to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Police are now investigating the fatal shooting and offering a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that can provide information that leads to an arrest and conviction.
