Video: Kirk Cousins Gets WWE Title In RGIII’s Absence

by Chuck Carroll

ASHBURN, Va. (CBSDC) — It wasn’t long ago Robert Griffin III was presented with a WWE title belt for his miraculous performance against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 11.

Flash forward a few weeks and understudy Kirk Cousins has matched the man drafted 100 spots ahead of him.

Cousins was crowned 4th & Pain Champion for Week 15 and given the belt at Redskins Park in Ashburn this week.

So what does the quarterback plan to do with the belt?

“I’ll probably wear it to meetings and keep it low key,” said Cousins. “Maybe hang it around my apartment as a decoration.”

Griffin actually wore the belt during a conference call with Dallas-area media minutes after he was presented with it.

The WWE title is given out in lieu of a game ball as part of a radio show hosted by injured Redskins defensive lineman Adam Carriker and I.

Other recipients this season include Alfred Morris, Ryan Kerrigan and Pierre Garcon.

4th & Pain airs each weekday at noon on and Sunday mornings at 8 o’clock on 106.7 The Fan. Follow the show on Twitter: @4thAndPain.
