Shanahan: “We’re Going To Play Robert When He’s 100 Percent”
ASHBURN, VA (CBSDC)–Redskins Head Coach Mike Shanahan just spoke to the media during his Monday press conference and after Kirk Cousins great game yesterday, says that as soon as he get’s the okay from the doctor, Robert Griffin III will be playing.
“We’re going to play Robert when he’s 100 percent,” Shanahan said. “When that ligaments fine and the doctors feel that there’s no chance for injury, that he can go out there and perform at the level in a game situation without injury, we’re going to go with our starter.”
Will Montgomery (Left Knee MCL Sprain) had an MRI today and Shanahan would only say that he will talk about him on Wednesday. Tyler Polumbus (concussion) will go through the protocol before being allowed to practice.
Following Shanahan’s press conference, the Redskins announced offensive tackle Jordan Black is suspended four-games for violating the leagues Performance Enhancing Drug policy.
Black is the sixth Redskins player to be suspended the last two season and the third suspended for taking performance enhancing drugs.
