WASHINGTON (CBSDC) - A person was hit by a train along a Green Line outbound track at the Fort Totten Metro station in attempted suicide on Monday afternoon.
WMATA reported the man was conscious and breathing when he was taken to a hospital after intentionally placing himself in front of the train just after 12 p.m.
Metro has been restored to full service on the Green Line after single-tracking between West Hyattsville and Georgia Ave. immediately following the incident.
He sustained serious injuries.
His condition is currently unknown.
