DC Police Offering $25K Cash Reward In Overnight Shooting Death

WASHINGTON (CBSDC) - Police are investigating the shooting death of a man that occurred in Southeast late Sunday night.

Metropolitan police responded to the sound of gunshots in the 5300 block of E St. SE, around 9:06 p.m.

When they arrived on the scene, officers found 20-year-old Jeffrey Ray Tyson of Southeast, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

He was taken to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

The death is being investigated as a homicide. No motive has been determined.

A cash reward is being offered of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to an arrest and conviction in the case. Anyone with information is asked to call the police at (202) 727-9099.
