SPRINGFIELD, Va. (CBSDC) — A serial groper in Fairfax County is believed to have struck for a thirteenth time.
Police say the latest incident occurred around 9 a.m. Thursday as a 23-year-old woman walked along Floyd Avenue near Erving Street in Springfield. The woman says a man ran up from behind and fondled her before running away.
Her description of the suspect closely matches those given by 12 previous victims.
She describes the man as Hispanic with a close-cut beard, standing approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall. He was wearing faded green pants, a black knit cap, a green jacket at the time of the incident.
The latest incident comes just two days after a 49-year-old woman reported being groped while running along Blarney Stone Drive near Omega Court.
