ASHBURN, VA (CBSDC)–Redskins Head Coach Mike Shanahan says Robert Griffin III sprained his right LCL, grade one sprain, and is “day-to-day” following the 31-28 win over the Baltimore Ravens.  Shanahan went on to say that Griffin III is “definitely not ruled out for the Cleveland game”.

Shanahan wouldn’t go into other injuries, but said London Fletcher, DeAngelo Hall and Trent Williams were improving.

Shanahan would not go into his game plan if Griffin III couldn’t go on Sunday and also would not rule out having three quarterbacks active.  Kirk Cousins likely would make his first NFL start if Griffin III couldn’t play.

Shanahan added,  “I really don’t know” if Griffin III could practice Wednesday as they prepare for Sunday’s game against the Cleveland Browns.
