Jogger Assaulted; Robbed of Clothes at Huntley Meadows Park

HUNTLEY MEADOWS PARK, Va. (CBSDC) - Police are investigating a strong-arm robbery and assault that took place in Fairfax County Thursday afternoon.

Police say around 11:14 a.m. an 18-year-old woman was jogging inside Huntley Meadows Park, near the South Kings Highway/Telegraph Road entrance when she was assaulted by two women.

The suspects knocked the woman to the ground, then assaulted her and stole her cell phone and clothing.

She was able to escape and flee from her attackers.

Minor injuries were sustained.

Police describe the first suspect as Hispanic, between the ages of 15 and 25, 5’0” tall, heavy set and wearing all black. The second suspect is described as Hispanic or black, also between the ages of 15 and 25, 5’6” tall, medium build and also wearing all black.
