Capitol Police Officer Struck During Traffic Stop Near Union Station

WASHINGTON (CBSDC) - A police officer was taken to a hospital after being struck in the District late Thursday night.
Police say a Capitol Police officer was struck by a vehicle while conducting a routine traffic stop on Massachusetts Ave. near Union Station sometime before 9 p.m.
The female officer was taken to a local hospital but the severity of her injuries is unknown.
Massachusetts Ave. is blocked off to traffic in both directions near Union Station.
