CHAPEL OAKS, Md. (CBSDC) - Police are still investigating a shooting that took place in Prince George’s County on Tuesday, when a teenager refused to give up his cell phone.
Police responded to a report of a shooting in the 1200 block of Nye Street in Chapel Oaks around 3:30 p.m.
When they arrived on the scene they found a 16-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound to his forearm.
A preliminary investigation revealed that an armed suspect approached the victim on foot and demanded his cell phone. When he refused to hand it over, he was then shot in the arm.
The suspect then fled the scene with the victim’s cell phone.
