DERWOOD, Md. — Maryland State Police say about a pound of marijuana was found in a car trunk along with cash and the body of a Frederick businessman.

Police say the body of 37-year-old John P. Ryan was found Monday afternoon in the trunk of the car, which was parked in a Montgomery County parking lot.

Maryland State Police spokesman Greg Shipley says Ryan was found along with about a pound of marijuana and investigators are not ruling anything out in their investigation.

State Police say the businessman who worked in property maintenance was reported missing Nov. 29 by his wife, who said she had last seen him on Nov. 27. State Police say no arrests have been made and investigators have not determined a motive.
