WASHINGTON — Metro is earning high marks from its riders.
The transit system says the new Voice of the Customer report shows passengers on trains and buses feel safe and would recommend the service to others.
Overall, 84 percent of bus riders and 80 percent of rail passengers indicate they are highly satisfied with their Metro experience.
Eighty-seven percent of the 770 passengers participating in the survey say they are satisfied with security provided on buses, compared to 86 percent of rail passengers who said the same.
Additional Findings
Cleanliness: 73 percent of rail riders were highly satisfied with station cleanliness. Metro says it was one of the highest scores in the country among large transit agencies.
Planning: 100 percent of customers report being satisfied with Metro’s online trip planner while 91 percent were happy with the customer service they received when calling the transit agency.
Maps: 100 percent of rail riders and 83 percent of bus passengers say they are pleased with the Metro’s map.
