BALTIMORE, Md. (CBSDC) - A suspect is in custody after a football player was shot on the campus of Morgan State University in Baltimore Friday.

According to WJZ, Baltimore City Police confirm the football player was shot around 1 p.m. in the 1700 block of East Cold Spring Ln., which runs through part of the school’s campus.

The man’s injuries are not expected to be fatal.

Police have recovered the weapon, according to the report.

It’s not clear at this time suspect is also a student.

A spokesman for Morgan State believes the shooting resulted from a dispute between the two individuals on campus.
