ASHBURN, Va. (CBSDC) — Oddsmakers don’t think the Washington Redskins can win Monday night, but one of the biggest names in professional wrestling does.

Goldberg, a two-time world champion, has predicted Robert Griffin III will get the better of Eli Manning and the New York Giants in a game with enormous playoff implications.

“I think if we all pick the Skins across the board, we can will them to win,” said Goldberg.

It’s not as though his pick is of the ‘willy-nilly’ variety.

Goldberg, who began his wrestling career with a 173-match winning streak, is somewhat of a football prognosticator, having out-picked Washington Redskins defensive end Adam Carriker and I this season on 4th & Pain — a daily pro wrestling show with a football twist. The show also airs Sunday morning on 106.7 The Fan.

Goldberg also has NFL experience, having played for the Atlanta Falcons and briefly with the Carolina Panthers before turning to the squared circle. In 1992, he was coached by current Redskins defensive coordinator Jim Haslett while playing for the Sacramento Surge of the World League of American Football.

Carriker, who is currently rehabbing from a severe knee injury in Week 2, also believes his teammates will win.

“I think it’s going to be a high-scoring, close game,” he said. “It’s time for the Skins to continue that role, make a playoff push and maybe sneak into the playoffs this year.”

Goldberg has also predicted the Cowboys, Seahawks, Texans and Bengals will win this week.

4th & Pain with Adam Carriker and Chuck Carroll airs each weekday at noon on 4thAndPain.com and Sunday mornings at 8 o’clock on 106.7 The Fan. Follow the show on Twitter: @4thAndPain.
