FAIRFAX, Va. (CBSDC) – A 53-year-old man lost his wife and sister in a deadly car crash near Fair Lakes in the early morning hours Friday.
Police say the accident took place on I-66 near the exit ramp to Rt-286 in Fairfax County at 6:09 a.m.
The vehicle was traveling westbound when it ran off the right side of the road and struck a tree.
The driver – Clarence Waller, 53, of Chester, Pa. - was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
His wife – Shyrel Scott-Waller, 53, – and his sister – Juanita Waller, 54, of Lanham – both died on the scene.
Investigators say fatigue appears to have played a role in the accident.
