Two-Hundred Thousand Bulbs To Light Up National Harbor

FT. WASHINGTON, Md. (CBSDC) – National Harbor is kicking off the holiday season with the lighting of a 65-foot Christmas tree decorated with 200,000 lights Friday evening.

The tree lighting ceremony will take place at the Waterfront Plaza from 6 p.m to 11 p.m. and will include story-telling and an ornament-making workshop form the National Children’s Museum.

Other entertainment includes performances by Abbey Miller, Rashida Jolley and the cast from Spirit of Christmas.

Hot chocolate and roasted nuts will be available to keep visitors warm.
