PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. (CBSDC) - The Prince George’s County Chief of Police suspended two officers after discovering they made an inappropriate video Friday.
Chief Mark Magaw said the officers engaged in unbecoming conduct by creating a video that is inconsistent with the values of the community.
The video features the two suspended officers – both African American – depicting a traffic stop on another African American male and directing racial remarks at him.
The officers – of 10 years and 3 years experience in the department – made the video entitled “Driving While Black” with a local comic. The video was posted on YouTube on Nov. 1 and has since been taken down.
The identities of the officers have not been revealed.
