LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) — A woman has been wounded during a FBI raid in District Heights, Md.

Authorities say shots were fired as agents were serving an unspecified warrant at a home in the 6700 block of Kippling Ave. However, the woman’s injuries, categorized as superficial, were not caused by the gunfire.

The woman, who has not been identified, was taken to the hospital and later released. Investigators plan to speak further with the woman.

Neighbors say they heard a loud bang near the home around 6:30 a.m., NBC 4 reports.

As of mid-morning, the area was still heavily filled with FBI agents and Prince George’s County police officers.
