ASHBURN, Va. (CBSDC) — The Washington Redskins are confirming Mike Shanahan had money and a passport stolen in Pittsburgh, but say there is no resolution to the matter.

The items were taken from the coach’s locker room during the Redskins’ 27-12 loss to the Steelers at Heinz Field on Oct. 28.

Contrary to previous reports, the team says the cash — reportedly $3,700 — and passport were not stowed in another bag.

“The Pittsburgh Police insisted on filing a police report because of the missing passport,” Redskins Director of Security Ed Burke said in a statement released Thursday morning.

The investigation into the theft is ongoing.

The Redskins will host the Philadelphia Eagles Sunday at FedEx Field.
