WASHINGTON (CBSDC) - Stores are accustomed to losing power following a major storm, but what Apple experienced on Thursday was an outage to its online store.
According to Business Insider, Apple’s App Store went down for about thirty minutes Thursday afternoon, leaving its techy customers in a frenzy.
Users reported having issues downloading apps on iPhones, iPads and desktops – with many of the same users not able to connect to the App Store at all.
For customers who could make it into the App Store, they would receive an error message as soon as they’d try to download an app, according to the report.
Other issues reported were users’ inability to update their apps, with any attempt at the usual procedure of entering a password resulting in a “cannot connect to iTunes Store” popup message.
Apple has apparently addressed the concern and fixed the issues.
The cause for the temporary outage has not been determined.
