LAUREL, Md. (CBSDC) - Police have released surveillance photos of a suspect who shot the manager of a Walmart during the armed robbery of a store in Laurel on Wednesday.

The suspect pictured in the attached photos committed an armed robbery at the Walmart located at 3549 Russett Green East in Laurel around 4:17 a.m.

The suspect displayed a handgun and stole an undisclosed amount of cash from the store.

During the robbery, the 28-year-old store manager was forced outside by the suspect, then subsequently shot.

The suspect fled the scene the scene in a dark colored van.

The victim was taken to a hospital with non-life-threating injuries.

Police described the suspect as a while male wearing a black jacket, a gray hooded sweatshirt and dark pants. Anyone with information that could lead to indentifying the suspect or an arrest is asked to contact Detective Eric Wills at (410) 222-3432(3566).
