ROCKVILLE, Md. (CBSDC) - A 19-year-old community college student is in custody for threatening to shoot other students on campus in Rockville Monday.
Police say around 2:00 p.m. a 19-year-old male student of Montgomery College-Rockville told other students that troubles in his relationship made him want to shoot people.
Three of the students he was talking to reported him directly to campus security, and by 2:45 p.m., he was arrested.
Police say he did not put up a fight and did not have a weapon on his person, so the school did not go on lockdown.
No charges have been issued so far.
Rockville police did issue a letter of trespass, preventing the student from stepping foot on the campus for three years, unless given permission from the school.
