Police: Attempted Robbery Leads to Shots Fired Near White House

WASHINGTON (CBSDC) – An attempted robbery near DuPont Circle Friday morning led to shots being fired near the White House, and now police are hunting four suspects.
D.C. police say they are looking for four armed males driving a silver or white Lincoln with District tags, EC0424.
The incident began with an attempted robbery near the corner of 18th Street and Jefferson Place, after 6 a.m. Multiple people were robbed by a group of suspects, police say.
One of the robbery victims pursued the suspect in the direction of Lafayette Square, just a few blocks from the White House.
Gun shots were fired, but no one was struck. It is unclear who fired the shots or if the shots were fired while the victim was in pursuit of the suspects.
The pursuit ended near H Street and Madison Place in Northwest.
