WASHINGTON (AP) — Metro says it will be taking advantage of the long Veterans’ Day weekend to complete work on the orange, red and green lines.
Metro says work will begin Friday at 10 p.m. and continue through Monday.
On the orange line, buses will replace trains between East Falls Church and Clarendon. Trains will also single track between Vienna and East Falls Church. Riders traveling through the work zone should add up to 45 minutes to their travel time.
Red line trains will single track between Grosvenor and Friendship Heights, and green line trains will single track between Greenbelt and College Park. Riders traveling through those two areas should add ten minutes to their travel time.
On Monday, Metro trains will operate on a Saturday schedule because of the Veterans’ Day holiday.
