WASHINGTON — Electricity service has been restored for nearly everyone who lost power in Delaware, the District of Columbia and northern Virginia. But thousands of outages still remain in Maryland.
By Thursday morning, Baltimore Gas and Electric was still reporting nearly 19,000 outages. Nearly 8,000 of the outages were in Baltimore County.
In snowy western Maryland, Potomac Edison reports 27,000 outages, primarily in Garrett, Frederick and Allegany counties.
On the Eastern Shore, most people have had their power restored. Delmarva Power is reporting about 2,400 outages. Maryland’s Caroline County has the most outages remaining. Others are scattered across the Delmarva peninsula.
In the Washington area, Pepco said it has restored power to all customers by Wednesday night.
In northern Virginia, Dominion Virginia Power is reporting 1,700 outages, primarily in Arlington and Alexandria.
