STAFFORD, Va. (CBSDC/AP) — A search continues for a man wanted on charges of detonating pipe bombs at the homes of his ex-girlfriend and two investigators who were handling an indecent exposure case involving him.
Authorities believe 25-year-old Laurence Alan Stewart II is armed and may have explosives. The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office says his whereabouts remained unknown Thursday.
Stewart is wanted on charges including attempted capital murder of a law enforcement officer, manufacture or possession of a weapon of terror and arson.
He already was wanted on charges including indecent exposure and violation of a protective order. Authorities say Stewart was reported to have exposed himself to two people at a shopping center in July and August.
The homemade bombs exploded Tuesday in Stafford County and Fredericksburg. No one was injured.
