WASHINGTON (CBSDC/AP) — Washington’s Metro system is operating a normal weekday schedule for the first commute after superstorm Sandy.
Trains appeared to be running mostly on schedule Wednesday morning. There were some delays on Metro’s blue line due to a train malfunction earlier in the morning.
Metro says it’s also running a regular weekday bus schedule across the Washington region. But there are some detours and delays due to downed trees and power lines and malfunctioning traffic lights.
