REISTERSTOWN, Md. (CBSDC/AP) — Maryland’s health secretary says a third potential storm-related fatality has been reported.
Joshua Sharfstein said the death of an adult male in a car accident happened Tuesday morning in Prince George’s County.
While Sharfstein says there is good reason to believe the death was related to superstorm Sandy, it is under investigation by the state’s chief medical examiner.
A man also died Monday after a tree fell on his Pasadena home. Neighbor John Brown identified the victim as Donald Cannata Sr. Property records show Cannata was the owner of the one-story brick ranch-style house.
A woman also died in a car accident in Germantown on Monday. Sharfstein says that accident also is believed to be storm-related.
