WASHINGTON (CBSDC/AP) — Most flights in and out of Dulles International and Reagan Washington National airports are canceled because of Hurricane Sandy.

The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority says both airports plan to remain open Monday, though dozens of flights have been canceled and passengers should check their flight status before leaving for the airport.

The authority says that the airports will try to resume normal operations, which include serving hundreds of flights each day, as soon as possible.
