REISTERSTOWN, Md. (CBSDC/AP) — Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley says early voting has been canceled for the second day in a row because of Hurricane Sandy.

The governor made the announcement Monday during a briefing on preparations for the hurricane.

Early voting had previously been canceled for Monday, and the governor said it wouldn’t take place on Tuesday either.

O’Malley says it’s hoped the days can be made up later.

Early voting began Saturday and continued on Sunday. It had been scheduled to run Saturday through Thursday.
