STEVENSVILLE, Md. (CBSDC/AP) — The Bay Bridge has closed to traffic due to high winds from Hurricane Sandy.
The last cars were permitted to pass sometime around 2:30 on Monday afternoon.
Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley also says the Millard Tydings Bridge over the Susquehanna River on Interstate 95 would close at around the same time. The governor says he could not remember a time when the Tydings Bridge had closed.
O’Malley also says the state is in the process of closing the Thomas J. Hatem Bridge that crosses the Susquehanna on U.S. Route 40 between Havre de Grace and Perryville.
