Federal Gov’t, Area Schools Closed Monday for Hurricane Sandy

WASHINGTON (CBSDC/AP) — The Federal government and several school districts have decided to close Monday ahead of Hurricane Sandy.

Non-emergency employees will be granted administrative leave for their scheduled working hours unless they are required to telework or are traveling or on unpaid leave. Emergency employees should report to work sites, according to OPM.

Some school leaders in the District, Maryland and Virginia made the call to close on Tuesday as well.
