ROCKVILLE, Md. (CBSDC) — Four students have been taken to the hospital with minor injuries after a school bus they were riding in was involved in a head-on collision with another car in Rockville.
The accident occurred around 8:40 a.m. Friday near the intersection of Wootton Parkway and Hurley Ave.
Police say the bus was traveling west on the parkway when a man veered over the center line, apparently causing the collision. He has been taken to the hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
Montgomery County School officials say there were 37 children on the bus.
Authorities say the road was reopened around 9:15 a.m.
