WASHINGTON — Metro says track work on the red, orange, green and blue lines will affect train riders over the weekend.
Metro says the work begins Friday at 10 p.m. and continues through closing on Sunday.
On the red line, trains will single track between Twinbrook and Grosvenor and between Forest Glen and Takoma. Customers traveling through the work zones should allow for about 15 minutes of extra travel time.
On the orange line, trains will single track between Stadium-Armory and Cheverly, leading to 10 minute delays.
On the green line, trains will single track between Greenbelt and College Park. Customers traveling to or from Greenbelt should allow about 10 minutes of additional time.
Finally, on the blue line on Saturday only trains will single track between Franconia-Springfield and Van Dorn Street, leading to 10 minute delays.
