Redskins Practice Update: London’s Streak In Jeopardy
ASHBURN (CBSDC)–London Fletcher didn’t practice today as his 231 consecutive game streak is in jeopardy.
Fletcher, who left last game with a mild hamstring strain, missed practice today because his “hamstring is still sore” but is also having a problem with his balance and is seeing a neurologist today.
If Fletcher can’t go on Sunday his 231 consecutive game streak, which currently leads the league, will be snapped.
Pierre Garçon also didn’t practice today and flew to see Dr. Anderson in Charlotte to see him one-on-one about his toe and also go over his MRI. According to Redskins Head Coach Mike Shanahan, Garçon’s toe is not improving. Fred Davis (torn Achilles) is had surgery today with Dr. Anderson. Both players flew down together.
Brandon Meriweather (knee) was limited today with David Jones. Meriweather hasn’t played this season.
Chris Cooley had his first practice today since being back with the teams and Shanahan said he did well, but they’ll see exactly what kind of shape he is in tomorrow when they wear pads. Shanahan said it’s an easier transition for Cooley since he is familiar with the offense.
Keiland Williams is back with the Redskins and Shanahan said they view him as a running back and fullback. Shanahan also commented how he is familiar with the system.
