LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) — There will be no hot dog eating contest for National Food Day. In fact, there won’t be anything close to it.
Instead, thousands of people across the country will celebrate a movement for healthy, affordable, and sustainable food to mark the occasion.
Students at George Washington University in the District are hosting a Food Day event from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the University Yard between 21st and H Streets in Northwest.
There are no fewer that 72 events in the Washington area that coincide with the annual event.
