WOODBRIDGE, Va. (CBSDC) - A Woodbridge man has been arrested and charged with attempting to strangle a two young adults.
Police say on Oct. 20 at 2:25 a.m. they responded to a domestic violence call in the 14400 block of Fontaine Court in Woodbridge.
When police arrived, a 23-year-old woman said she had been involved in a verbal dispute with David Nimrod Munford, 47, of the same residence.
The woman told police the altercation escalated, at which point Munford strangled her and threw her to the ground.
A 25-year-old male, also of Woodbridge, then tried to intervene and break up the altercation, at which point Munford allegedly grabbed him by the throat and lifted him off the ground.
When officers arrived, the suspect refused to comply with police orders and was put under arrest.
The suspect is a known acquaintance of the two victims – who each reported minor injuries from the incident.
Munford was charged with two counts of strangulation and one count of resisting arrest.
