DUMFRIES, Va (CBSDC) — The Prince William County Police Department is asking for the public’s help in providing information about an abduction and assault that happened in the Dumfries area of Prince William County.
Three females from the Dumfries area were walking along Fuller Heights Road near the intersection of Mockingbird Heights Road around 10 p.m. on Oct. 18 when police say a lone suspect stopped them at gunpoint and attempted to rob them.
The man also took one of the girls away from the others, assaulted her and then fled on foot when he heard police cars approaching the area.
The suspect is described as a black male between 18-25 years old with a light to medium complexion. The women say he is between 5 feet 8 and 5 feet 10 inches in height and was wearing a large dark colored hooded sweatshirt with dark colored faded baggy jeans. He had a dark bandana or ski mask covering a portion of his face. The suspect was armed with what appeared to be a black and silver handgun.
