Metro Track Work to Slow Red, Orange and Green Lines This Weekend

WASHINGTON — Metro says track work on the red, orange and green lines will affect train riders over the weekend.

Metro says the work begins Friday at 10 p.m. and continues through closing on Sunday.

Metro says that on the red line buses will replace trains between Grosvenor and Friendship Heights. Metro says customers traveling through the work zone should allow for about 30 minutes of extra travel time.

On the orange line, buses will replace trains between East Falls Church and West Falls Church. Customers using the shuttle bus should allow 20 minutes of extra travel time.

Finally, on the green line, trains will single track between Greenbelt and College Park. Customers traveling to or from Greenbelt should allow about 10 minutes of additional travel time.
