LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) — Authorities are trying to piece together the circumstances surrounding the death of a man in Northwest Thursday morning.

Firefighters say they discovered an unconscious man inside of a home in the 400 block of Newton Place where a small fire was burning on the second floor. CPR was performed on the man who later died at the hospital.

The deceased man has not been identified.
