ASHBURN (CBSDC)–Redskins Defensive Coordinator Jim Haslett spoke to the media today as the Redskins prepare for their first NFC East game of the season as they head to New York to play the Giants on Sunday.
The Redskins will face the defending Super Bowl champs and of course star quarterback Eli Manning and Haslett knows it won’t be an easy task, especially after the Skins swept them a year ago.
“He doesn’t take sacks,” Haslett said on Manning. “He knows when to get out of the pocket.”
Manning has only been sacked four times this season. One person who is starting to get sacks is Lorenzo Alexander who with more playing time on defense, got 1.5 sacks last game.
“Zo’s (Alexander) always done a good job off the line, coming from different angles,” Haslett said on how he was able to get to the quarterback last game.
Haslett also had high praise for safety Madieu Williams who he said had his best game last Sunday.
